Session Description: According to the CA Science Frameworks, A fundamental principle in CA NGSS is that students must use the three dimensions to understand specific phenomena, and that phenomena drive science learning. We’ll explore what phenomena is, where to find it, and how it is used to bring engagement and relevance to NGSS science instruction.

Session Description: How do we use our devices to communicate knowledge effectively? One method is through storytelling which can be presented in the form of an actual short story, a research report, a science experiment or a math procedure. This training session will discuss the steps needed to have your students create multimedia projects for your curriculum; from storyboarding and outlining to graphics, sound and video. This session will present information on how to create a project, where to find usable media online, how to create a rubric and how your students can become creators of multimedia content. All students K-8, and devices can create multimedia stories and projects.

We will be doing some unplugged (non-computer) activities that will teach the process of computer programming through critical thinking and problem solving. We will be also going over the computer courses that will be appropriate for your grade level. No previous experience is required.
